Ntị jụrụ ịnụ ihe, mgbe a ga-egbu isi, e gbuo ya na ya.

Ignoring advice can bring consequences you cannot escape.

Literal translation: When the head is cut off, the ear that refused to listen goes with it.
Explanation: The ear cannot separate itself from the head. Refusing to listen does not protect it when trouble comes.
When to use it: When someone repeatedly ignores a warning about a serious consequence.
