Who is Asụsụ Ọma for?
Asụsụ Ọma is designed for adult and young-adult beginners, including people starting fresh, people who grew up hearing some Igbo, and diaspora learners without regular access to an Igbo-speaking partner.
Can I start as a complete beginner?
Yes. The onboarding flow lets you start from the beginning, choose a realistic daily target, and work through one guided step at a time.
Do I need to record my voice during setup?
No. Name recording is optional. You can skip it and continue. The browser asks for microphone permission only after you choose a recording action.
Does Asụsụ Ọma score my pronunciation?
No. The app supports speaking practice but does not score or correct pronunciation.
How can I practise listening?
Some activities include a spoken example. Use it with the written prompt to listen, repeat, and practise at your own pace.
How does saved progress work?
Sign in with Google to save your learning choices, settings, course progress, and exercise history to your account. Signing out does not delete information already saved there.
Can I install Asụsụ Ọma?
Yes. You can install the web app from supported browsers and devices for quicker access.
How is site usage measured?
Asụsụ Ọma uses Google Analytics with first-party analytics cookies to measure page visits, learning actions, and site performance. Analytics events do not include your learning answers, voice recordings, name, email address, or account ID.
