E kpegbuo nwa ọgaranya, e bufere ya n’ama nna ya.

Status should not shield someone from judgement.

Literal translation: When a wealthy person's child is found guilty, they are led past their father's compound.
Explanation: The child's family standing does not erase the public judgement. The journey past home makes that plain.
When to use it: When someone expects family wealth to excuse wrongdoing.
