How to say “see you later” in Igbo

Ka emesịa.

See you later / until then. Tap any word for what it means.

When to say it

Use this when parting and expecting to meet again later.

How to say it

Say it as Ka · e-me-sị-a. Ka ends in a vowel and emesịa begins with one, so in speech they run into each other instead of stopping between. Follow the recording, and keep emesịa flowing across its four vowels without dropping ị.

Igbo is tonal, so pitch can change a word’s meaning. The recording is a native speaker.
